Hong Kong trip 26 Dec 08, Day 2 (Part 2)

We had our lunch at China Star Seafood Restaurant located in Energy Plaza, Tsim Sha Tsui East. We were seated at a table with 10 persons and sharing six 'chinese styled' dishes with rice. All the dishes were at most average in taste. Once we were done with our lunch, Freddy told us that Mr.CK would take us to Lantau Island for the cable car ride.

Upon reaching the entrance to Ngong Ping 360 (Skyrail), there was a massive crowd lining up for the ride. The price for an adult is HKD107(RM50) for a round trip. Mr.CK somehow managed to buy our tickets through the 'tourist express' counter bypassing the crowd.

During the 25-minute journey, we could see the panoramic view over the sea, surrounding terrain and Hong Kong International Airport.

As we approached Ngong Ping Village, we could see Tian Tan Buddha a.k.a. The Big Buddha from a distance.

Citygate Outlets is a shopping mall which we managed to visit, it is located near the cable car. The place seemed to have all the 'branded' outlets like Adidas, New Balance, Nike and Esprit. They were selling off-season goods at large discounts. Citygate is located right above Tung Chung MTR station.

Then the bus took us to our last destination of the day, Avenue of Stars located along the waterfront in Tsim Sha Tsui. It was almost 8.00 pm and we were starving, so we went hunting for food. Haha.. We ended up in a stall behind a small alley called Happy Delicacies. We ordered plain noodles together with a portion of thai curry chicken, braised duck meat and their specialty dish.. claypot chicken.

Claypot chicken. Extremely delicious...
